Church Family and Prayer Concerns

god’s power in ourselves and in our world.
Church Notes:Next Sunday night our worship service at the CRC at 7 pm will be combined with the other churches in Corsica in preparation for Bible School. The offering will be for VBS expenses. The Dakota Christian high school spring music program will be Thursday, May 8 at 7:30 pm. Students will begin the prelude by playing their contest pieces at 7:15pm. If someone from your family is graduating from kindergarten, grade school, high school, vocational school, or college; sign their name on the sheet on the bulletin board today. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Be thinking now about what you can do to help with our community Bible School. We will need teachers, helpers, cookies, etc. A sign up sheet will be up next week. The CRC is responsible this year. The regular and large print Today’s for May-June are here. Annual church cleaning will be May 5-8. The chair person of each group should contact your ladies for a time and date that works for you. The Women’s Bible Study group invites anyone and any age to join them in a prayer walk for the people in Corsica Wed. May 14 at 7PM; to meet Corsica Christian Reformed church. For more information contact Jackie Niewenhuis at 946-5818. Saturday, May 17 Mother’s Day Event at Grace Reformed; speaker is Cassandra Knowles of Baltic, SD, a survivor of domestic abuse. Included in the program will be Troy Strid, Douglas County Deputy Sheriff, Craig Parkhurst, Douglas Co States Attorney and Erin Baker from the Children’s Inn at Sioux Falls. Tickets are $3.00 each, available from Elaine Plooster (946-5633), Sharon Van Marel (946-5740), and Barbara Noteboom (946-5806) or at Corner Market; deadline for purchase is Saturday, May 10. All mothers, daughters, women are invited and encouraged to attend. Dakota Christian School cleaning will be held on May 19 and 20. If you have children attending DC, you will be receiving information in your church mailbox or the postal service. Please check your mailboxes and post the information on your calendars.
