NURSERY AND CHILDREN’S CHURCH OPPORTUNITIES OF SERVICE: If you’re 5th grade or above and would like to teacher / help with children’s church and/or nursery attendants - please sign the list in the back of church by Aug 29 - today. If you want to take your name off any of the lists, please indicate this on the sheet also. Updated lists will begin in September.

WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
September 11th, at Platte First Reformed Church. Coffee time is at 9:30, with a 10:00 morning session.
A salad luncheon will follow the morning session. "Quiet Time" begins at 12:50 and the afternoon session at 1:00. Greg and Ruth De Haan will be speaking at both sessions (Greg is the son of Dorothy (Maas) De Haan formerly from this area). They will be sharing their experiences while being missionaries in the Sudan for several years. They have since come back to Minnesota to take over his Dad's farm. An elder from the Winnebago church has volunteered to come and he will speak during the afternoon session about what is happening in the church over there (our Women's Union sends support money to the church each year).
An offering will be taken at both sessions and will go toward the support of Rev. Elly, a native of Sudan, who is continuing the work he did along with Greg in Sudan. Rev Elly works with "Across", an organization who partners with the RCA.
Coffee and goodies will be served following the afternoon session. Ladies, you are encouraged to attend. It is so exciting to hear what the Lord is doing on the mission field and also to enjoy fellowship with ladies from the other churches in our Union.
If you are unable to attend both session, be sure to attend one.

Coffee Break, a community Bible Study, begins 9:30 am Sept 15th –
in the Corsica Christian Reformed Church. Studying - book of Esther.
Group leaders are Joyce Star / Joyce Brink / Vivian Groeneweg.
Jone Van Drongelen will have story hour for 3-5 year olds.
Nursery is planned for younger children IF an attendant can be found.
