We WELCOME all those visiting with us today. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.

February 7 and 21 worship services will be in the North Church. The February 14 and 28 worship services will be in the South Church. The worship services are at 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

*Continue to pray for the needs of those in Haiti.

* Please continue to pray for our legislators on the national and state level as they make decisions on bills and legislation. Pray that they might protect the lives of the unborn and vote according to God's principals.

*Please continue to pray for healing for Cora B, Marlowe DL, Brent DL, Adrianna DL, and Kathryn DW, and Cassidy VD.

*Please pray for our missionaries: the Michelsons, the Wunderinks, and the Selemanis.

*Please continue to pray for those who are battling cancer: Dorothy L, Barb S, Delwyn BH, and the others in this area who struggle with cancer.

*Please continue to pray for the safety and good morale of all our military personnel.

 

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY NEWS: We wish Happy Birthday blessings to Keith VH who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow, Feb. 8, to Erika V who will celebrate her birthday on Thursday, Feb. 11, and to Ronda H who will celebrate her birthday on Saturday, Feb. 13.

PLATTE AREA MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) will meet Monday, February 8, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Platte, SD, from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. Childcare is provided.

THE CADET PINEWOOD CAR DERBY will be this Wednesday, February 10, at 7:00 p.m. at the Platte Community Building. Everyone is welcome.

TOP YOUR TATOR” MEAL: On Thursday, Feb. 11, there will be a "Top Your Tator" meal sold at the boy’s basketball game with White Lake. This is a fundraiser for the after banquet activities. Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m.

COME ONE, COME ALL! To a Women’s Brunch, sponsored by Platte CRC Fun & Fellowship, on Saturday, February 13, at 10 a.m. We will be serving recipes from our new cookbook “Heavenly Dishes.” Entertainment will be provided including musical special numbers with various instruments. Jackie Niewenhuis will be our speaker. Freewill offering at the door. Please join us for a morning of great food, fellowship and fun. Childcare will be provided.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER: On Sunday, February 14 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. the CRC/Grace Young People will be serving a spaghetti supper at Grace Church in Corsica. Free will donation for mission trips/camps. Bring the whole family.

COFFEE BREAK, a community Bible Study will begin Wed., Feb. 17, 9:30 a.m. at the Corsica Christian Reformed Church. The six lessons called “Discover Easter” will coincide with Lent. All women are invited to take this opportunity to grow in their love and understanding of God's wonderful plan of salvation. ART & SOUL: Take a break from winter and join us for an afternoon filled with FUN, CRAFTS and CHOCOLATE! ART & SOUL has been created to give the ladies of our community a place to join with old friends and meet new ones in a relaxed, fun environment devoted to bringing out and celebrating our individual creativity. We look forward to meeting you at the Harrison First Reformed Church (North Church) on Thursday, February 25, at 1:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend. AURORA CHRISTIAN SPORTSMEN MINISTRIES would like to invite you to a game feed to be held at Aurora Reformed Church in Aurora Center, SD on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Supper will be served from 5-7pm with a presentation immediately following by Dave Tripiciano, a bow hunter, photographer, and wildlife speaker. There will be a freewill donation as well as door prizes donated by various businesses. Bring your whole family along and join us for an evening of good food and good fellowship.

SERVICE PROJECT OPPORTUNITY: The Siouxland Diaconal Conference is partnering with CRWRC and organizing a volunteer group to do some work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the week of March 20-26. We will be doing some dry-walling, electrical work, trim work, and painting in homes that were flooded in May of 2008. The sign-up deadline is Friday, February 26. GREAT PLAINS EXPERIENCE: Start planning your summer vacation now! Join Dordt professors Jim Schaap and Robb De Haan June 6-11 for the "Prairie's Edge" Great Plains Experience, a motorcoach tour that begins in Sioux Center and includes wayside gems where you'll discuss wind energy, changes in farming practices, the 1862 Sioux Indian Uprising, and lifestyles in rural communities. You'll visit places in eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota that most tourists will never find.
