Beulah Zomer, 92, died at Good Samaritan Center in Corsica on Monday, September 12, 2016. Funeral service will be Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Christian Reformed Church in Corsica with burial following in Graceland Cemetery in Corsica. Visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 5 - 7 PM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Chapel in Corsica with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

Beulah Zomer was born on September 7, 1924 in Platte, SD to Ben and Bessie (Den Besten) Kok. She attended grade school in Douglas County and went to a Christian High School in Orange City, IA for two years, then graduated from Platte High School in Platte, SD. She went to Springfield Teachers College for a year and attained her teaching certificate and taught at many schools in the area. She made profession of faith in the Christian Reformed Church in Corsica. She married Egbert Zomer on February 26, 1947. To this union, six children were born. Egbert died on April 25, 2010. Beulah was a member of Christian Reformed Church where she was a member of the Mary Martha Society and Dorcas Society. She was also involved in Coffee Break and Crossroads Prison Ministry. She was a member of Dakota Christian High School Auxiliary. She was employed with the United States Postal Service for many years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and playing games with them. In her last few years, she enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren play. Beulah moved to Good Samaritan Center in Corsica in 2013 where she died on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the age of 92.

She is survived by four children, Shirley (Bob) Geurkink of Milaca, MN, Elroy (Marilyn) Zomer of Corsica, SD, Ruth (Duane) Wolbrink of Stickney, SD, and Calvin (Kim) Zomer of Corsica, SD, 10 grandchildren, Ben (Bree) Geurkink, Sierra, Michael (Danica), Riley and Laurel Zomer, Angela (Matt) Feenstra, Jason (LaDawn), Jeremy (Laura) Wolbrink, Greg and Emily Zomer, 4 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jaydyn, and Jaxson Feenstra, and Brandi Wolbrink, sister-in-law, Berdine Kok of Sioux Falls, SD, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant sons, Kenneth and Dennis, two grandchildren, Jonathan Geurkink and Christopher Wolbrink, sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther and Richard Brondsema and Helen and Charles Maas, brothers and sisters-in-law, Art and Marie Kok and Clayton and Ann Kok, brother, Ray Kok, and in-laws, Herman and Helen Zomer and Edd and Okkelena (Lee) Zuidema.
