Jonathon David Hup, 13, died at Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour on Monday, December 22, 2014. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Corsica with burial following in Graceland Cemetery in Corsica. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Netherlands Reformed Gym in Corsica. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be given to Netherlands Reformed Christian School in Corsica. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Jonathon David Hup was born on June 9, 2001 to Edward and Sharon (den Hoed) Hup in Platte, SD. Jonathon was attending Netherlands Reformed Christian School in Corsica, SD and was currently in 8th grade. He was a baptized member of Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Corsica, SD. He enjoyed deer hunting and recently received his hunter safety course certificate. He enjoyed being outside, helping his family with various tasks. He adored his nieces and nephews and liked to spend time playing with them. Jonathon enjoyed music, spending time playing his trumpet and piano. He delivered the Daily Republic Newspaper for the last two years. He died at Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the age of 13.

He is survived by his parents, Edward and Sharon Hup of Corsica, SD, 3 brothers, Steven (Alisa) Hup of Armour, SD, Jason (special friend, Ineke Kruijsse of Ede, The Netherlands) of Corsica, SD, and Daniel Hup of Corsica, SD, 3 sisters, Rachael (Ken) Van Brenk of Stickney, SD, Shelly Hup of Sioux Falls, SD, and Rhonda Hup of Corsica, SD, grandparents, Bernice Hup of Corsica, SD and Arie and Betty den Hoed of Rock Valley, IA, 6 nephews, and 3 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerrit Hup.
