Gertrude “Gert” Beukelman, 84, Mitchell, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at First Reformed Church, Mitchell. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Harrison. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday with a 5 p.m. prayer service at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.  On Nov. 3, 1942, she married Cornelius Edward Beukelman in Halifax, N.C. They farmed for 35 years, three and a half miles south of Harrison. She worked at the Corsica Nursing Home and was a sales representative for numerous direct sales companies.
