The Corsica-Stickney FCCLA Chapter is sponsoring a Hygiene Drive until March 1st. The donations we need include: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, bar soap, feminine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper, and other hygiene products. All the items will be donated to The Abbott House in Mitchell, SD and the Douglas County Food Bank. You can drop off donations at the Corsica and Stickney school sites and Corner Market. DC's Got Talent will be presented in the DCS gym. Doors will open at 6 p.m., dinner music begins at 6:30 p.m. and the evening's entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. A meal of bbqed pork sandwiches, coleslaw, chips and a drink will be served for $6. Popcorn, cotton candy, root beer floats and candied peanuts will be for sale. The DCS choir and band, under the direction of Kim Zomer and Karissa DeJager, will be showcasing their talents. Special guest entertainers will be Omaha Street Percussion. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this evening where we will be celebrating the God-given talents He has blessed us with. Offering to support the DCS music department.

From the SD Highway Patrol report:

Trooper responded to a 2 vehicle crash on SD 73 about 5 miles south of Faith, SD. The semi was parked partially in the northbound lane; disabled. It had it reflective triangles placed behind it. The driver of the white Caravan did not see the semi or triangles and ran into the back of the semi. The driver of the van was wearing their seat belt and only received minor injuries.
