From the SD Highway Patrol report:

It's not only winter rain and snow that can cause poor driving condtions, but heavy fog can cause road conditions to deteriorate rapidly as well. The driver of this vehicle lost control while traveling south of Lake City on Tuesday after a heavy fog caused the roadway to become slick. The vehicle struck a guardrail, went air-born and struck a tree. Luckily the driver did not suffer life-threatening injuries in the crash.
