You are invited to join us for PANCAKES 'N PARADE with the DCS BAND TRAIN on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the DCS gym and parking lot. Pancakes, sausages and drinks will be served, by the band members, from 5:30 to 6:15. At 6:30 the DCS band will performing The Great Locomotive Chase and other mini-parade entries. Pancakes will again be served from 7 to 8 p.m. Join us for an evening of celebrating the talents and the hard work the DCS band, and their director, have put in preparing and presenting their 2018 fall marching band presentation. A free will offering will be taken to cover costs and support the DCS band.

From the SD Highway Patrol report:

Warrants have been issued for a Watertown, S.D. man who was involved in a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred last week near Sisseton. Evidence indicates Robert Keoke, Jr., was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer southbound on 460th Avenue when he lost control. The vehicle went off the gravel road into a ditch and eventually rolled. One passenger, Dennis Brant, 73 of Peever, S.D., was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. A second passenger, 50-year-old David Keeble of Sisseton, received minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. The crash occurred sometime on the evening of Tuesday, September 4. Keoke, Jr., 52, left the crash scene and has not yet been located. Anybody who knows the location of Keoke, Jr., is asked to call law enforcement.
