Mary Ann Peters



Mary Ann Peters, 87, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, May 28 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.  Funeral service will be Monday, June 3 at 10:30 am at Grandview Reformed Church in Armour with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour.  Visitation will be Sunday, June 2 from 5 to 7 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Grandview Reformed Church in Armour.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Mary Ann was born September 2, 1936 to Albert and Clara (Meurs) Scholten in Armour, SD.  She attended grade school in Corsica, SD and graduated from Armour High School.  She then went on to further her education at Comptometer School in Sioux City, IA.  She was united in marriage to Leonard Peters on February 5, 1958. To this union, 5 children were born: Brenda, Barb, Renee, Lisa and Jeremy.  Mary Ann enjoyed attending family activities, women's bible study, playing the organ and piano, and sewing.  She was a member of Grandview Reformed Church, Ladies Sunshine Circle and the Gideon Auxiliary.

She will be deeply missed by her 5 children:  Brenda (Bob) Bamberg of Corsica, SD; Barbara Groeneweg of Corsica; Renee (Don) Brondsema of Platte, SD; Lisa (Dean) Fink of Armour; and Jeremy (Angie) Peters of Madison, SD; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, Ben and Roy, and a son-in-law, Les.
