Mavis worked many years at the Pennington Tax Service in Platte. After that she had her own tax service at home.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, making quilts, fishing, playing cards, reading and gardening. Most of all Mavis loved to do things along side her husband Wayne on the farm.
