Judy Vander Pol

Judy Vander Pol, 82, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 17, at First Reformed Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Corsica, SD. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Judith "Judy" Mae Vander Pol was born January 16, 1944, to John and Nellie Noteboom in Douglas County, SD. She graduated from Corsica High School. Judy married Marvin Vander Pol, and to their union had five children: Bryan, Joel, Scott, Paula, and Toni Vander Pol. Together, they owned and operated Vander Pol Dragline. She enjoyed ceramics, woodworking, gardening, sewing, choir, along with planting and tending trees, and her grandchildren's activities. Judy attended Corsica Christian Reformed Church and First Reformed Church.

Judy is survived by her children, Bryan (Amy) Vander Pol, Joel Vander Pol, and Scott (Bev) Vander Pol all of Mitchell, SD; Toni Vander Pol of Parkston, SD, and Paula (Ed) Scherrer; siblings, Gene Noteboom, Doug Noteboom, and Mary Doorn; grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Scherrer of Idaho, Matthew (Erica) Scherrer of Alabama, Andrew (Naomi) Vander Pol of Arizona, Alyson Vander Pol, Wesley (Ashley) Vander Pol of Brookings, SD, Carlie (Sawyer) Strelnieks, and Ty Vander Pol; grandchildren, Kya, Koah, and Lydia Scherrer, Brooks and Reece Vander Pol, and Levi Strelnieks.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Vander Pol; Lois Fischer; Leona Van Roekel; and Ruth Bailey.
