Logan Denning

At the age of 42, Logan Denning leaves behind a legacy of love, community service, and a life that touched so many people. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the Corsica community he loved so dearly. Funeral service will be Monday, November 2 at 2:00 pm at the Corsica High School Gymnasium in Corsica. Visitation will be Sunday, November 1 from 5 to 7 pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service, at the Corsica High School Gymnasium in Corsica.  Memorials would be preferred in lieu of flowers.

Logan was born September 23, 1984 in Armour, SD to Von and Sue (Kimball) Denning of Corsica. He graduated from Corsica High School and furthered his education at Dakota State University with a degree in Business, which he used to carry on the family business at V&S Trucking.

He was united in marriage with Lindsey Wingen on October 12, 2013 at St. Joseph Catherdal in Sioux Falls. He was a member of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Armour, Knights of Columbus, Corsica Commercial Club and Corsica Development Corporation. His involvement in these organizations reflects his deep commitment to the community.

He loved golfing, camping on weekends and being surrounded by friends and family. He also had a passion for coaching his kids’ softball, baseball and football teams. You could often hear him on Friday nights announcing the high school football games. He was a devoted Dakota State Trojan fan, where he played football and later coached for a short time.

Above all his accomplishments and community involvement, Logan was a wonderful husband, father, uncle and son. His love for his children and wife was one of the most important parts of his life. Logan will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever a part of the community he helped make stronger.
